1031 Exchanges Have Arrived

Through the fusion of Qualified Intermediary Services LLC and C3Funding, we are now bringing over 50 years of fundraising and 1031 exchange experience to the communities we are committed to serve. Together, our staff helps facilitate tax-deferred exchanges of investment and business real estate. We provide intermediary services to assist sellers in retaining their equity and preventing the imposition of capital gains and recapture of depreciation taxes so all net receipts from sale can be used to purchase replacement properties. As of today, we are please to unveil our hard work to our online communities. Upcoming releases in 2020 Q4 will focus on enhanced functionality, and our new release for offering non-securities crowdfunding offers. Finally - An Update!

It has been well over a year since we last posted, but we are trying to resume what was initially started then - a blog that would keep everyone updated on our crowdfunding portal endeavors. Since the last post, the project has undergone some major architectural changes, which provides significant improvements moving forward. The changes have required most of our code to be revised, but this has also allowed for the implemtation of newer technology. While this has extended the initial release timeline, the final product will be greatly improved! At the writing of this blog post, we are finishing up updates that make a majority of the site viewable again. You can checkout both c3funding.com and c3fundingdemo.com. Expect the updates sometime this weekend. Thanks for your continued interest in our project. We believe that this crowdfunding portal will be a tremendous tool for communities to use for fund development in the near future.

Crowdfunding Workshop with GROW

On Thursday, August 23rd, we had the opportunity to present at a crowdfunding workshop hosted by GROW - Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women. Thell Woods and John Flick gave a brief overview of the history of crowdfunding both nationally and within the state of Michigan. We discussed crowdsourcing as a tool (that can even be combined with other more traditional lending models) to enable the an entrepreneur to raise the capital need for their business. We discussed the mission of C3Funding to provide a community-centric crowdfunding platform that will enable regions and communities to promote local investments. Part of this initiative includes the development of a platform that supports both non-securities and securities-based offers, allowing one site to be a clearing house for local investment opportunities. The site is designed to engage not-for-profit and for-profit businesses and organizations. A special thanks to the amazing hospitality of the GROW staff. Mary, Jill and Kelli
